Kiwanis Club of Maryville is partnering with Tellico Village Kiwanis Club on this great project, to help our environment. We are collecting plastic bottle caps and lids which will be recycled into new park benches, for purchase and distribution by Maryville Kiwanis. It takes 200 lbs. of caps to make each bench. There are many types of caps/lids to be collected, but they must be clean with recycle numbers 2, 4, or 5 and under 8″ wide made of materials such as: High Density Polyethelene (HDPE), Low Density Polypropylene Polyethelyne (LDPE), Polypropylene (PP).
