Family Promise

One of our new service projects started this year is to help homeless children in Blount County. Working with Family Promise of Blount County, Dian Trosclair chair worked to find a bookcase and cubbies for the facility. They purchased the cubbies which will be used for storage of the children’s school back packs and other items. Along with Brian Rich they received a donated bookcase and painted it to be used for a library of books for the kids Maryville Kiwanis will donate.

Family Promise is very appreciative of all our contributions.

Family Promise of Blount County is committed to providing a path to stability for unhoused families in our community. Our main program is structured into three essential steps, each designed to guide and support families on their journey toward secure and stable housing. Step 1 is  Family Shelter. Step 2 is Transitional Housing. Step 3 is Going Home, Staying Home.

These steps encompass a comprehensive approach that includes a safe place to stay, transitional housing, and ongoing assistance. Through this three-step process, we are dedicated to helping unhoused families regain their footing, find safe and permanent housing, and ultimately, rebuild their lives with hope and dignity.
